Irish artist Bart O’Reilly from Baltimore, MD will be speaking on Thursday at noon at Flashpoint. His exhibit Old Lines From The Luminous State is currently on view at the gallery. The talk is being put on by Flashpoint and Solas Nua, the Irish organization that funded this show. O’Reilly’s exhibit includes work from his most recent project involving a family-owned Maryland barn. Consisting of drawing, installation, video, photography, and arguably sculpture, the show has quite a bit to offer. He will be discussing both the process of creating his work as well as his concept progression. Refreshments were not mentioned, so I imagine this is probably a bring-your-own situation.
